Occupy Shanghai
In 2012, in collaboration with Shanghai Nvai, Ling GAO made a performance art piece titled It's A Dress Not A Yes in the Shanghai subway. This work was not only an action piece that caused a sensation and was widely discussed, but also a deeply meaningful social and historical performance art piece. Through the combination of art and action, Ling GAO drew more attention to the rights of and demands on women in public spaces, and further promoted the progress of China's feminist movement.
